Tournament: OVER!

So the SE++ Forum tournament has come to an end.
I made it to the finals, and lost to Chico Blue.
However, I did make a lot of stuff that I'm pleased with, so here we go:

Round 1:

My first entry against Zonkytonkman, set to the tune of Zonky! Wasn't it clever? Look at how much effort I put into it. I enter the tournament with inspiration from my favourite kind of cartoon - Classic. Specifically Betty Boop! I wish I could animate like that. Maybe sometime in the future.

Total Time: 14 days!

Round 2:
video
Did I go into detail on this one? Apparently not! Geebs vs. Me, Me vs. Geebs.
Set to the song "Play with Me", specifically the ending solo. What's to say?
Every round. Every round until the final round I pulled out ideas I wanted to use later, because geez what if I didn't get the chance to use them?!
This one's a perfect example of that. Most of it isn't Geebs based, but that Mt. Rushmore at the start, that is the cream of the crop there. That was inspired.
Speaking of, I apparently missed an opportunity to reference Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (I am very ashamed). Where I pop up right before the first "Play with me!", I could've landed from a phone booth! They colour kids could've popped out, too! Uuuuugh!
Maybe you can tell by the end that I was running out of ideas.
You can probably tell that about any of the movies. I don't think only the 4th and 5th round had the ending planned out.

Total Time: Probably about 10 days I guess. That's counting any class day or lazy day or whatever. I remember having a lot of lazy days during this. A lot.
The link to the download is in the post previous to this.

Round 3:

My fight against Skull Man, a crowd favourite. That wave that starts after I enter, that took about 2 hours to make. It probably didn't help that I made the original at about 3 or 4 times the original size!
Total time allowed to make this: about 8 or 9 days.

Round 4:

My fight against Keith. I didn't have the time to make it exactly how I wanted to, but I feel it came out alright. Did you know I had two finals going on during this?
Inspired by Lolita. The song is Russian Romance, the author of Lolita is Russian.
Total time allowed: About 5 or 6 days?

Round 5:

The sound messes up at the end, so it takes away from it hardcore. You may want the download link for better entertainment.

My fight against Raneados. It was pretty cool to have so many people provide their voice. Great work all around.
Songs: Lemon Jelly - CSI Miami (background), Europe - The Final Countdown

an amazing medley of songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th1oR8yeBh8
The version I used is sung by J, one of the 14 forum users (and one robit!) who collaborated on that project. Can you imagine how awesome that'd be making it? Anyway, the bit I used was Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy.

Finally, local Victoria band, The Vista - Never Even

and for those that didn't catch it, the penis rocket was an attempt to tie in with Marshmallow's pre Forum Battle thing.

Oh, the guy sporting the blue outfit and black visor would by the henshin I came up with while obsessed with Viewtiful Joe, Andy Dynamic.

Total Time: About 4 days I guess.

Round 6 - Chico Blue, the Final Round

Ah, the grand finale. I go over all the battles I've been in, and include my first big forum project: The SE++ Marathon
http://www.fightinfilipino.net/Campion/toolateS.JPG

This includes LOTS of H- scroll!

http://www.fightinfilipino.net/Campion/circlemarathon1280X800.JPG

This is a big circle, perfect for desk tops?

and even include a rendition of my first Valentine art picture in the page four background.

Other information that may be of interest: Contrary to all of my other entries, I didn't have music to base my project on. I created the entire first page, and the rest of the pages idead up before I could find anything that I liked.

Alternate Ideas for the final round: A Cave Story parody, from the start of Hell to the end. I even went through and typed all the lines up.

A Princess Bride parody of the sword fight, but rather an art fight. We'd use devastating artistic maneuvers and styles to get the best of eachother. Except I'm actually left handed.

The precursor to the final idea - I change to Andy Dynamic and unleash my ultimate technique: 100 FORUMERS, set to the tune of Captain Falcon's theme

But drawing and animating 100 forumers may have been a bit much.

Total Time: Less than three days. While I did have Thursday to work on it, I also had a midterm to study for on that very day. So about 9:30pm Thursday - 11 or 12pm. 3:30pm Saturday- 11 or 12pm, then 7:30-8:00pm Sunday.

All of the videos can be found on my Youtube profile here:

But everything is lower quality, and the sound is bust in some instances (especially the semi, and final round)

Well, I sure hope you've enjoyed the Tournament as much as I have, it's been fun.
What's in the future? More drawings. Someone linked me to Toon Boom
http://www.toonboom.com/main/
So I may start giving that a shot.

Oh god, adding video to my blog has opened up so many (ie. not really so many) possibilities!
